I've had this laptop about week, everything else works fine but the HDMI output been acting glitchy. My cable is fine ive tested it on other laptops/xbox signal works but on the laptop i have to disconnect and reconnect 10x for it to work. wondering anyone out there has a solution to fix it.

Have you tried updating the Intel & Nvidia drivers to the latest version to verify?

if the HDMI is faulty i really dont want to send it back to get it fixed and wait days for it. Im thinking about just buy a mini-displayport to HDMI if that will help with the disconnect and reconnect problems.

You might want to definitely try another cable. Just because a cable works with some machines, doesn't mean it will work with ALL of them in the same manner. Try both the minidisplay port and a different HDMI cable. I have had that situation happen and it was definitely the cable I was using, which worked with my previous machine but not for the other.

I tried 3 different HDMI cables and has the same outcome itll start working after disconnect and reconnect 10x or so. I think it might be the HDMI port. But i did buy a mini-displayport to HDMI and it works perfectly 1 try and boom image

What's the surround like on the cable, it might be slightly too far up the connector for the port on the laptop.

I think so. I have to angle the cable slightly up for it to get signal and hold in place for a few seconds to work.

I have shaved off a bit in the past to solve the issue.
