Just recently noticed that my Wifi light near my power button wasn't lit up. I tried touching the button and nothing happened. It remains enabled in windows but the light never changes and doesn't disable the wifi. If I use the actual button in the S-bar the light will toggle and I can see the X'd out wifi pop on screen from the MSI overlay but it never disables or enables the wifi.

Anyone have any ideas on what this might be? I tried to uninstall the S-bar and reinstall .NET 4.5 and the S-bar software, but that didn't make a difference. I've also noticed if I hit Fn + F8 or Fn + F9 it doesn't work to disable or enable the wifi or bluetooth.

Have you the updated chipset driver and WiFi + Bluetooth driver for your card?

Not recently but everything worked from the time I got the unit up until a few weeks ago. I'm leaning towards an OS reinstall but if its hardware related that would be annoying to find that out after a reformat. :D

I did try using the latest beta EC a few weeks back, going to try rolling that back to the stock EC and see if that makes a difference too, totally forgot about that.

Ah, do give that a shot. It's possible a Windows update could have caused the problem too, or any other recent downloads or installs. Chances are the WiFi driver isn't the problem if we're just talking about the hotkey either, but you never know.

Which EC you use will determine which version of SCM you need to use as per their instructions on the website.

I was using the new T16 beta EC from the MSI forums. I got my pair of Crucial M4 240gb MSATA ssd's today that i swapped in for the stock 2x128gb ssd's and reloaded Windows 7 and everything is working again, going to chalk this one up to a Windows problem. :D

The T16 needs the windows updated to 8 version I believe.
