So My MSI GT70 gpu got fried and no longer works. It was a Nvidia gtx 670m 3gb ddr5 if i recall correctly. Part of the reason i want to replace this card is because for some reason my laptop fan runs at fullspeed since the gpu fried(really really loud and annoying), regardless of temperature etc. I was doing some looking around and the 670m replacement gpus go for like 200-400$ online, so instead of buying the same i was wondering if i could just buy a better laptop gpu like the 870m since they are generally the same price from what i have seen. Which laptop gpu's would work with my laptop that is better than the 670m, how do i know if a certain card is compatible? As most of you know, this laptop GPU is really easy to remove and replace, although my only concern is whether the heatsink will also work with better cards. Thanks in advance!
