A friend has the previous generation and is very satisfied with it, but he got it custom ordered and made sure to stick a 7970m in it. By comparison, 675mx is about 20-40% weaker. See if you can't custom order it from one of the popular system builders.

Also, let's not forget the GT70 0NE-609US. This is a limited 'Dragon Edition'. and is equipped with the more powerful NVidia GTX-680M. Other GT70 0NE model information can be found HERE.

Its a re skinned model so any comments about the gt70 apply to it too. You just need to cobsider if the extra cost is worth it for the design and extra accessories.

Here in Seoul the GT70 Dragon Edition has the GTX680M but is sold without an OS.

It also has a DVD multi and not a BD burner

    The Super Raid is 2 x 64GB SanDisk U100 mSATA SSDs instead of 2 x128GB Memoright MS-701

    There a 750GB 7200 HDD

    It has 4 x 4GB of DDR3-1333 instead of DDR3-1600

Price including VAT is equal to $2,888US

Both the 675MX and the 680M are kepler, where the 680M is more powerful.

"Sadly"? 680M is very good, but don't feel bad about settling for the 675MX still.

Yes but the USA version has a 680M is $500 cheaper too. So I'm kinda of ticked off we get the less powerfull spec' version. :(

I like the dragon model based on specs alone. Here there is not much buisness for custom build laptops so it's stock models only if you want a decent spec on for under $3K.

Has anyone got the current GT70 Dragon and can review it?
