    Hi guys, I was wondering what is the normal temperature for the GPU, CPU and hard disc for this laptop? and What is consider 'normal' temperature when I'm playing game with it? I fear that I might 'burn' or 'melt' the components even tho I just bought it yesterday. Thanks in advance.

    MSI Global GT70 2PE Dominator Pro

    Ram = 16gb
    Graphic card = GTX880M 8GB
    Intel Core i7

    And this may be out of topic but I don't want to start a new thread just for it. But how do I activate Intel i7 'turbo mode'? And what is the downside of me doing so? Can it fry my CPU faster if I use it for long period of time? Thanks in advance!

    my CPU almost goes to 70 degrees Celsius while my GPU does to 75 degrees Celsius and my hard disc isn't that hot, maintaining around 35 degrees Celsius. The reason why my GPU is 75 because I turn off my computer when its that hot, letting it rest for a while. It might increase more as I use it more. So want to find out what is a 'normal' and the highest temperature for it. Am worried more about GPU since its temperature is always the highest..

    And it goes up to 75 degrees celcius when I am playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. So mainly gaming.

    I normally activate my 'Cooling Boost' when I start gaming, This makes my fan goes 4000 RPM++, not more than 5000RPM tho, Is it a good thing to turn it on, or it will break the fan in long term use? And I found out even when I don't turn on the cooling boost, it still speeds up my fan and it makes noise of course. But after for a while it will stop and continue again. On and off, On and off.

    Anything below 80c is considered cool. So all is good.

    Just do a repaste or find a shop where they'll do it for you if you don't want to. MSI are infamous for their horrid thermal paste procedure >_< Even today, a year after I bought my laptop, people complain about it!

    A bit higher than yours but I have the 15" inch model which tends to run slightly hotter but overall I've used it almost everyday with no problems at all.

    Sorry for a lot of questions, but this is my first 'very powerful' laptop, and I don't wish to 'break' it so soon. How hot is 'higher' than mine? and Will the fan break if it runs over 4000+ RPM everytime I start playing games?

    No you will not break the fan unless there was something wrong with the fan to begin with.
    Besides MSI has a great warranty program if anything happens to break ( which I hope you never have to use )
    My CPU temps are about the same as yours but my GPU when gaming can reach the mid 80's and if pushing the high 80's.
