A most unfortunate event happened to me yesterday, when my daughter stepped on my LCD display and kinda broke it - at least that's my only explantion in this moment. She didnt really step on it, but rather pressed really hard on the lid while it was closed (there are vertical red lines across the screen - red on white background, white on black and something dark on all other colors).
I have already checked the video card (re-seated it and re pasted to be on the safe side) and still the same. However I cannot find a proper guide how to take the laptop apart in the desperate case of the lcd cable to be unplugged or improperly plugged in.
Pretty much wont be covered by my warranty, so could someone recommend a place where I can get a replacement screen for my GT683 dx? They need to ship international as-well.

    Display model : AUO21ED (matte type) for GT683DX 15.6" 1920x1080.

All other tips are most welcome.

    Thank you very much.

I sent it in for repairs. They will let me know if it is covered by the warranty. If not, I will have to search for a replacement screen , as their options will probably cost twice as if I were to do it myself.
