where can i find any MSI GT627 or 725 model in the UK under around £900 that includes at least a P8400.

iv found a GT627 with T6400 and a 1376x768 but the screen and processor suck. it was £825 from oyyy

any other deals? with preferablly 1400x900 and P8400 at least.

also is that T6400 version overclockable so i can get it to like 2.4ghz?

ok i found another 2 deals, but both have T6400's :(
can i overclock it though? to like 2.4ghz? and how will it compare to the P8600 for say? as i know one is 800mhz and the other is 1066mhz.

    http://www.morecomputers.com/extra.asp?pn=EX625-249UK £818
    http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/MSI_EX625-249UK_Laptop_EX625-249UK/version.asp?PID=1016 (cant OC i think)

and theres one on OYYY but its the same as the one from morecomputers.com.

tbh, i think im gonna buy a studio xps 16" as it seems good.

£810 delivered. its the best place to use as its a well known site too. but what does 16" WXGA stand for resolution wise.

im guessing its 1366×768 right? which would suck as that would mean i cant even play games as 1200x800...

    I thought GT627 come with 1GB 9800M GS rather than radeon mobility 4670 ???

    nah, new models..
cant complain with the 4670 though. its a 128bit bus memory gpu and its nearly as quick as a 9700m gt.
    gets around 7.6k on 3dmark06
    http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-ATI-Mobility-Radeon-HD-4670.13881.0.html

but its just a crime how they pair that with the that a t6400 and a 1376x768 screen are.
i mean why put a great gpu in a greatly designed laptop with a 2.00ghz cpu and a screen that doesnt play games at an average res.

I guess 4670 is quite good. But 9800M GS is 256bit and on top of it, it comes with 1GB of video ram, which does make a lot of difference in demanding game
I think the one you were looking at is EX625 rather than GT627

loads of uk stores are selling that spec. cant be wrong. its a new16" 16:9 model.

    so anyone know the answer?
what res is the 16" WXGA resolution?
also can i OC the T6400 to something like 2.4ghz and how will it compare to the P8600?

can anyone find me a UK model with a P8400/P8600 in stock? i dont mind if its 9600m GT/9800m GS/4670 or any other gpu they are all good. i dont mind 15.4/16 or 17" screen

You could be right, maybe it's new that even MSI hasn't update their own website?

But even the first 2 links you gave said it's EX625-249UK. Also from the MSI website, the EX625 match the specs of the laptop exactly to the stores one.

    PS - WXGA should be 1366 x 768
