I just bought a used MSI MS-1634 off eBay for really cheap and am having issues getting the correct touchpad drivers. I think the touchpad is a Sentelic but I have no way to actully tell. I have Tried Sentelic Synaptics and eLan drivers but none work coreectly I need to beable to turn off tap to click because it is very annoying and usless. And please do not say just get a USB mouse this is a laptop not a desktop.

Tried al that already but if you uninstall the touchpad drivers windows installs it as Microsoft PS2 Mouse and then it says its made by Microsoft. Really need so info from another GX610 or MS1634 user or reseller. Mine has an ibuypower sticker on it but there website is useless.

Well got sick of trying to figure it out so i pulled the compuer apart. Tochpad has ELAN TECH written on it. I have Tried the ELAN drivers from MSI with no luck. Also tried the ones for my Samsung Netbook.

There goes your warranty. Have you contacted MSI? They probably won't be willing to have it sent in to them at this point, but hopefully they know of a working driver.

i was going to say that, But its a 2007 Laptop. For now I put a Synaptics touchpad out of an ASUS in it. But unforantly MSI just put the touchpad on from the top side with double sided tape and the ASUS one does not have the over hand the MSI one did.
