So I got a GT60 OND-250US with a gtx 675m graphics card i installed skyrim and crysis 2 and no matter what settings i set the fps seems to be locked at 60fps the cpu temp
while gaming is between 58 and 62 degrees and the gpu hovers around 70 degrees during gaming why is the graphics card "stuck" at 60fps. also i set the nvidia control panel for dedicated graphics as well as plugged it into the wall and there is no change.
this happens on all graphic settings

    thanks in advance. :)

Have you tried removing the setting of "Vsync" off your game settings?

Hey again, in the previous post we were working on you were stating getting 40-45 FPS on low settings if I recall correctly. If you're indeed getting 60 FPS no matter what that is the Vsync setting which locks it in to match the 60hz refresh rate of the laptop monitor.

so is that a good thing or a bad thing and why would fraps show that instead of the actual frame rate?

That's just exactly what Vsync is designed for. If your GPU was able to run the game at say for example 120 FPS and you had a 120hz monitor, it'd sync it to 120 hz. Since the GPU can't, and you only have a 60hz monitor, it's going to lock it to the 60 FPS. If you want to get as many FPS as possible, just disable Vsync in the graphics settings and you'll get your normal performance.

Really no need to go above what your screen can reproduce, so as long as the game settings that you want to play at can achieve that 60 FPS just leave it on. If you're playing a game that say on Ultra settings you're only getting 45 FPS, you'd want to have Vsync off in that case so you can get as many FPS as possible as 45 FPS is still perfectly playable imo.

I'm wondering what's the max temperature you got on the 675m? Because My GTX680m goes up to 90 something degrees...

I am running crysis 2 right beside me in pause mode. The temperature reading atm is 88 degree C. FPS is 34.8 fps reading on the screen. At full ultra settings with high texture files and motion blur to high.

And I did no overclocking to this card yet.

Did you run it with turbofan on? Oh wait you are using a cooling pad. Nice temps by the way :)
It seems you repasted very well (didn't know AS5 could reach this performance..)

    Oh ok :)

In fact it is strange that AS5 can let you go that far on temps :p

When I had my 7970m I pasted it with Prolimatech PK-3 and temps never went above 75 degrees. Arctic Silver 5 never catched my attention :)
