This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Thanks for posting. It's worth noting that SilentOption works on more than just the GT60 and GT70. I started using SilentOption about a week ago on my GS43VR (shout out to @whirledpeas for mentioning it in the GS43VR owner's lounge) and it's been working great - it's allowed me to uninstall the MSI Dragon Gaming Center (which was interfering with OCing) while still retaining fan control and a quick way to check temps.
