Sooo, got a little over zealous upgrading my GS75 (9750H and 2080) with liquid metal, new memory and another NVME drive. Everything actually turned out very well until screen went pretty much black. Turns out I accidentally pinched the display cable when resealing the case. This may have also shorted out the screen.... not sure yet.
I’m going start by replacing the display cable. If that doesn’t work I’ll need a new screen. Anyone know where I can get a replacement or even an upgraded screen if needed? Just planning ahead in case.
Appreciate the help!

Hello I recently got this laptop and would like to know how your temps were after upgrading paste. My temps seem to stay low but the fans get loud even when cpu and gpu temps are in the low 60s.Cisco78 likes this. -
If you want a really silent system on the cpu fan curve set 0%, 50%, 60%, 65%, 67%, 70% 70%
On the gpu fan curve set 0%, 50%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 78%Cisco78 likes this. -
Thanks much.
Temps were great when I undervolted, then I went ahead about liquid metal on and blew up the rig... it’s now toast.. so not just the screen as I previously thought.

Clean it as good as you can, sand the LM from the heatsink and send it for warranty, worst case you get a new motherboard quote..
