Hey,
So I just started up my MSI GS 75 it's 512GB, 2070 RTX, and I haven't downloaded even basic browsers or anything and it's started heating up quite quickly. I set the Dragon Center Settings to Balanced and that's about all I've done so far. The fans are also going pretty strong for just being powered on? Is there anything I can do to mitigate this? I can still return it so I'm wondering if I should do that.

I would adjust a custom voltage curve with msi afterburner, also custom fan speed curve with dragon center. This happened to me every time i factory reset back to the original image, so most of it has to do with windows 10 adjusting and downloading god knows what. Also use throttle stop to undervolt the cpu/cache helps a lot with the heating issues.

Hi! Does anyone happen to know where I can find the BIOS unlock code for the GS75? I'd like to use it to undervolt the CPU (I know folks also successfully use Throttlestop to do the same). Thanks!

Press the "Alt" and "F1" keys to unlock the hidden settings on the AMI BIOS. If nothing happens, try pressing "Shift" and "F1" or "Ctrl" and "F1" instead.

Hold shift key down and press F2 , release the keys and hold alt key down and hit F3. -
