Does anyone have this laptop yet? How is it? Do you recommend it as a reliable upgrade to an Aorus user (with a 1070gtx)?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I just bought this laptop recently and have only had it for few days, but I am really enjoying it. My previous laptop of 6 years was an MSI ghost that finally bit the dust. I purchased the i7-8750H, 16GB, 512 SSD, 17.3 in FHD, RTX 2070 version. I haven't tried gaming on it, but for productivity purposes it runs like a gem and takes anything I can throw at it. Fans are quiet so far but I haven't really used it under load so it may vary. I have used Photoshop, AfterEffects, and Autocad/Revit for rendering and it had good rendering times. The trackpad is really nice and smooth and is larger than the GS65 model which is nice. Ocassionally my palm will swipe the trackpad but the palm rejection is very good. I also use a mouse so it's not a big deal and the trackpad doesn't seem to get in the way of typing. Sound is pretty good for a laptop, I really like the front firing speakers as opposed to downward firing speakers which I tend to think sound a little muffled. The color gambit is really accurate and the screen is a 144hz IPS panel which seems to hold up at most viewing angles and is very color accurate. Also, has a good selection of ports and TB3. It does tend to attract the odd fingerprint and the power brick is a beast it the laptop is super light for the specs. I think I will upgrade the ram eventually, but overall it's a powerful and really sleek looking laptop.

The 17 inch screen is just beautiful!
