it seems that my GS70 over the first year has had many small paint nicks and chips on the palm rest that expose the metal underneath, and it shows some kind of wear around the display from rubbing/chafing. I've taken the best care I can of this machine but this wear seems more than normal. Does anyone have suggestions of some way I can cover up the nicks a bit? some kind of paint dab or polish that might do the trick? I'd just like to clean it up and make it look nicer.

Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

I got one of these on the right palmrest. Figured it out on the day I tried to clean it and it wouldn't come off.
I guess the problem with nail polish is that it's glossy, while the metal of the GS70 is matte finish. I don't think polishing would be good, any agressive polishing material would actually cause a blemish on the area.
