I posted this on the official MSI forums, but I didn't receive much help.
Recently I purchased a MSI GS60 Ghost Pro with a Killer Wireless 1535 Wireless Adapter and the Killer E2400 Ethernet Controller. When playing games like Overwatch through wifi, I experience extremely high ping and terrible lag. The thing is, this only happens when the 970m graphics card is in use. When I perform speed tests when the 970m is not in use, I get speeds equal to those of other devices that I have connected to the wireless network. However, once the 970m is in use, I get speeds anywhere from 1/2 to 1/10 of what I get normally. From what I've gathered reading through posts online, it seems the 970m draws so much power from the rest of the system that the wireless adapter can't function properly. I've tried updating the drivers and turning off Killer Bandwidth control, all to no avail. The Killer network adapters seem problematic in general, from what I've read. I was wondering if replacing the wireless card would solve my issue, and if anybody else has experience with this issue.

We have seen issues relating to the Killer bundled software but usually installing the driver only package will resolve. Its worth a shot to try a different wireless card just to rule that out of course

I ordered an Intel Dual Band Wireless AS 8260 wireless card and replaced the Killer card with it. I haven't encountered an issue since. I recommend switching out the Killer card with a new one like I did.

Stock driver is usually outdated from the factory therefore what you tried to do were right. But there was another way to verify is by installing driver only and verify the issue.
Sometimes, it can be a compatibility issue between the router firmware and the wireless adapter.Prostar Computer likes this. -
