I am very interested in the MSI GS60 Ghost Pro. It has anything I need in it, but I want to know if it would be possible to upgrade components like the processor and GPU in it in the future, so that I do not need to buy a whole new computer just because one aspect of the laptop is outdated.
    Thanks

It is not possible. Both the CPU and GPU are soldered.

The only upgradable components are the HDD/SSD/RAM, and that's it.

But it can already come with a 2.5ghz (turbo 3.5ghz) i7 and a GTX 870m GPU! I've been using an alienware m14x for the last 3 years with a 2.1ghz i7 and GT 555m GPU, and could still play bioshock infinite and starcraft HotS on medium to high! With laptops you buy the best you can afford at the time. If you want to upgrade stuff, its PC for you!

Alienware used to make ones with upgradable GPU's. but stopped doing that as it was like £600 for the upgrade!

They still are, as are the GT series from MSI.

As Intel comes out with different generations of their CPU's they typically are not compatible with the previous gen motherboards. The new ones that comes out in 1-2-3 years that are different wouldn't work anyway. Its be to get what you think will last a few years down the road.

Not only for cost-saving reasons, but there isn't a big room for user upgrades because users will most likely just a buy a new laptop most likely.
There are other headaches by going with this route.
