I was wondering whether to get the MSI GS60 860M since the price went down, and I was wondering if the issue with the wi-fi actually has been fixed. I know MSI put out several driver updates, but some of them did not work. So I was wondering if they actually fixed it for real ad if there are any issues anymore. Thanks for the input here.

It's hard to say since every router is different in every household and many issues were caused by compatibility.
This should not be the cause to discourage you from purchasing a great system because there are updates that resolved the issue.

WiFi questions and help are best served when posted in the Networking and Wireless forum.

I'd also suggest looking for a model that has a Killer N1525 instead of one with an Intel AC-7260NGW

I have the GS60 model with an 850M that originally had an Intel M.2 AC-7260NGW.I had disconnect and no networks available issues with it when resuming from Sleep Mode so I replaced it with a Killer N1525.

IMO,the Killer N1525 is a much better M.2 type wireless card.

Do you need a new notebook real soon or can you wait a few months for the Intel Skylark platform notebooks scheduled for a June to August 2015 release?

It may be well worth the wait.
