I'va had this laptop for about over a month ago for CAD work, and I just started using it for games. The GPU makes a weird annoying sound whenever I play a game. It doesn't stop unless I close the game down. At first I thought it was the fan, but the sound would start while the fan is off. Do I have a faulty GPU? Thing is it works fine and all, it never over heats and I never see any stutter, it's just that the sound gets really loud and annoying.

The following video is not mine, but my laptop makes the exact same sound, again even when the fan is off.

Does it make any noise when doing CAD? Is it with multiple different games or just the one? Maybe try running some benchmarks that are GPU intensive like firestrike or 3d mark to see if we can isolate it.

It does make the noise when doing CAD work, but it's not as loud and with all the games. I also ran the final fantasy 14 benchmark and the sound was still there.
