My laptop seems to make loud idle noise and is there any way to setup a fan curve?
its at 2.4-2.8k rpm according to the dragon center but i cant seem to set up the fan on speedfan etc.
any suggestion to keep it quiet in class? it bothers me alot on the fan noise suddenly going high for 10 seconds before going to the idle fan speed again.
please help. (also i own the laptop for more than a year or so now but never used it as much (only about 30 hours max in terms of usage, so i cant really return it)
Also i'm not running any intensive programs unless google chrome is considered intensive. (no i don't play flash files)

You can't control the fan speed unless you use Svet's tool to modify the fan speed mapping.
Besides using a modified EC, you can also use a notebook cooler to help with air flow which can possibly reducing the fan noise. Or, if someone has the know-how to tap into EC register and creates an utility to allow you to change the fan speed on-the-fly in Windows.
Other than the options mentioned above, you can't reduce it with stock firmware.
