Hey!
Hoping someone can help me, help my brother. He recently bought a GF63 8RC laptop, but has observed strange FPS behaviour.
When he starts up his laptop for the first time (after work etc.), he experiences poor FPS, if he removes the charger the FPS increases, however, its still quite low.
If he reboots the laptop with the charger connected everything boots up normal.
What he has said is that he rarely starts the laptop whilst its connected to the charger, he always connects it after the initial boot.
To me it sounds like the laptop isn't picking up that the chargers been connected but I'm at a loss.
I've asked him to make sure battery is on Performance and that the nVidia contol panel is set to use the dedicated GPU.
System: i7 8750H, GTX 1050 and 8GB RAM.
Games tested: Runescape and Football Manager 2019, 2 games that are no intensive at all in terms of FPS.
Any things you guys can suggest and I can report back results.
Thanks in advance!
