I have a problem with sound in my laptop. When audio starts or stops sometimes i can hear annoying popping sound, even in USB headset. Reinstalled drivers, os, loaded with liveusb Ubuntu, all the same. Any suggestions?

    Here's video:

you can hear popping around at 0:16

Alright it was worth a try. When I first got my GE62, I had issues with the Killer Network software causing issues like you describe. I disabled the suite's windows services and stopped the main application from launching at startup, this resolved my particular case.

Other than the obvious stuff like checking for updates, I might also take a look at driver latency using LatencyMon (free tool download). There are a number of guides for using this tool, so search around if you need to. The idea is you'll be looking for a driver that is executing long enough to trigger a latency spike when you see (or rather hear) the symptoms. It sounds crazy, but even a storage driver can block userspace long enough for a media application to not update a playback buffer fast enough, causing a popping sound or some other stutter artifact. Fixing any found problem drivers is typically just a matter of trying different versions until you can find one that works properly. Power management related issues can show up here too, causing latency spikes in ACPI.sys - these issues can be more difficult to pin down on notebooks, but I noticed that my laptop had its best results when all the MSI tray applications were not running.

EDIT: You mentioned loading Ubuntu - if the issue was seen there as well it seems like you might have a hardware problem. I don't know how likely there would be an issue across both windows and linux but I suppose its not impossible since many vendors provide their own drivers for linux.

Found with LatencyMon that usb headphones drivers have high execution, deleted them but nothing. Also wdf01000.sys has dpc count. You said that it can be hardware problem, but what makes popping even in usb headphones with their own sound card.
