How is the screen of this model ? (GE63VR-7RE-010CA) Because I know MSI put some bad screen and already it's a TN and not an IPS (deception here, I really wanted an IPS screen but I read that their TN is almost as good than IPS except viewing angle (but still better than other TN)

I maybe buy this (I cancelled my order of Asus Strix Rog GL503VM because the fan noise, the MSI should be little better for this and better quality build..)

    thanks!

I've got a UK version, the screen is pretty nice. Not pushed it yet with gaming because I have it connected externally to a 144Hz screen which it copes with pretty well. Build quality is pretty good and it isn't as heavy as the GE62 I had before.

I've got the Canadian model you're talking about and the screen is fantastic. Got it on price match from Best Buy. Hard to believe it's a TN. I was a little worried about getting a TN panel but it lives up to being close to IPS in my opinion, and the 120Hz refresh rate is slick. Colours are very vibrant and clear. Excellent contrast.

Cooling is fantastic on this laptop, build quality is great. Not a single complaint from me. Amazon.ca has it for a good price right now. Fan noise on auto is not too bad and never overheats, but you can crank the fan right up if you want.

Tried a Dell 7577 for gaming on the cheap; it had an IPS panel, but it was total trash. Colours all looked like pastel washed out, and contrast was terrible. Returned it pronto and spent a bit more on the ge63vr.

I tried a lower end MSI leopard pro with the 120Hz panel as well, but the ge63vr screen was far better if my memory serves me well.

One thing, get rid of any killer networking software and just use the driver only. I had weird issues where Steam would not connect to the download server if killer networking suite was installed.

On newegg.ca you can buy US models of MSI, but what happen if I need support, can I even ask to MSI Canada or I have to deal with MSI US support ?

I'd be careful buying from Newegg in Canada. They are not an official MSI retailer here. Found that out from a rebate form which listed all authorized Canadian retailers. I'd contact MSI directly to find out for sure, or post in the "questions for MSI rep" here on the forum.
