    MSI GE60 temperature question

    Sorry I'm a noob I've just joined this site but I need help I've got a MSI GE60 ond gtx660m notebook when playing bf3 and some other demanding games my core CPU temp goes as high as
    93c then usually stays at 83c to 84c . My GPU stays at a steady 72c this is with a cooling pad
    With 3 fans is my notebook in trouble at thees temps please I've looked every were for an answer
    To this I use speed fan to monitor my core temp . Please respond thanks.

    Davie, what SSD are you using? Have you looked in the dedicated area of this forum for MSI? I asked the moderators to move your post there for better exposure.
    BTW the standard question will most likely be have you repasted your GPU or at least disassembled the notebook it and cleaned it out?

    Sounds like your CPU temp is spiking, then throttling kicks in to lower the temps. Do you experience any FPS loss or performance loss when the temps drop to 83 C to 84 C?

    You're system is not necessarily "in trouble", but normal, stable temps are anywhere from mid 70 C to high 80s C under load. You're in trouble when you get into high 90s C and up.

    This may be something you'll have to send the laptop into MSI for if it's still under warranty. Perhaps the CPU needs repasted, or there's an issue with the heat sink.
