    MSI GE40 20C : WIFI CARD UPGRADE.

    Hi Anyone know if I can upgrade the internal card on my MSI laptop ? Would like to access 5ghz for better speed. Thanks alot.

    The wifi card is usually easily accessible on MSi laptops. I'm not sure whether it is the case for the GS40, but there should be disassembling videos on Youtube for you to see before making the changes yourself.

    The Killer 1535 provides the best results, but some unstable drivers cause it to sometimes disconnect and disappear from the device manager.
    The most recommended and stable Wifi card to this day is the Intel AC 8265. It's slightly cheaper than the Killer, but doesn't disconnect at all.

    The Intel AC7260 might be about the best card you could get for that model. Some of the newer cards are M.2 form factors, and not compatible with that model.
