I ended up purchasing an MSI EX630 from Newegg open box and it will get here next Wednesday. While it appears to be plenty of computer for me now, what kind of upgradability do these things have? Can I upgrade the processor or video card? I know the RAM and hard drive can. Just never tried the processor or video card.

You can upgrade the processor and the video card but the laptop already has the best mxm-ii video card available right now. If you upgrade the processor, it would be best to stick to p series processor as they generate less heat.

The video card is not that great, you probably could upgrade it to a ATi 4670.. The CPU is an easy upgrade also.
