    Hi

Can someone tell me what vddq level is?
I am not asking about vdd voltage in memory overclocking tab in bios.
There is a vddq Level option under platform settings tab.
VDDQ Level can be set from 0 to 7.
I think this is for ram but can someone explain a bit more. what is level 0, Level 1, ..., Level 7 ?

Also under platform settings there is another voltage option called pmic vcc io which can be set from 0.85V till 1.071 V. What does this stand for?
Power management integrated circuit? If yes what does this voltage controls? A bit more in depth explanation would be nice.

Also last thing. Why under platform settings option USB type C support is disabled by default? Are there any benefits from enabling It?

    Thanks

I believe most or all of those settings are not applicable on this platform.
Most of these settings are for extra add-in boards or debugging modules or extra devices. There's a reason that they are not exposed when enabling the hidden bios settings via combo keys. AMI may often make a generic Bios for an entire range of MSI laptops, then depending on the devices installed, some or many of the settings may not be linked to hardware. Enabling some settings may cause an unknown device to appear in windows, but without any physical hardware attached to it, or with no drivers available for it. Like when you start messing with skycam or some other devices you can force to appear, or you force stuff to appear in Serial I/O that you shouldn't be forcing. Even stuff like messing with "MM SD Card 3.0" hidden settings (which probably have nothing to do with the built in sd card anyway) can stop your laptop from POSTing.

PMIC stands for Power Management IC. Seems to be something related to low power for tablets and ultrabooks and notebooks? I don't think any of these are mapped to any physical hardware, and if it is, they should probably not be tampered with.
Some random link from some coreboot linux stuff over here:

Vddq level is absolutely nothing to do with DDR4 voltage. Change it if you will and check the memory voltage in CPU-Z, provided it doesn't cause a soft brick.
Changing firmware configuration to IGNORE_POLICY_UPDATE causes an instant soft brick and requires a complete CLEAR CMOS to boot again.

    Ok thanks.

I thought that vddq Level can be something like additional voltage boost on memory like 1.2V + Level 0-7 boost (some mV). I think I have red somewhere some Time ago about it. But for now I don't have aby confirmation. What do you think.

Also I am testing additional AC DC loadline calibration with setting them to 1( for core option it is great).
Both settings for igpu works similar as for cores. Also tried This for SA and I think it also works because I was monitoring temps in hwinfo and making rest 3 options to 1 changed temps by around 2-3 C lower. Also system agent temp went down by 3-4C from 58-59 to 54-55.
    Everything is stable.
Also I red that UV after setting them to 1 is not possible but I am able to UV in throttlestop.
For example My stable before loadline was -156 core & cache and -157 for Both igpu settings. Now after ac dc loadline my max fully stable across all games and benches are -86 and -120 and it brings temps a bit more, than with only loadline.

I will try changing pmic voltage and vddq level and I will report any thing I will be able to report.

Ok as for pmic vcc io voltage when this is on default or above 1V cpu-z report in memory something like this upload_2019-6-13_14-1-52.png
when voltage is 0,85 cpu-z reports no module size, spd, week and year, but only is reporting ranks as OCTA?? WTF? hahaha :D
Global mem voltage is 1.2V no change.

As for vddq level no metter what I will set it is always 1.2V. I will check if I can push mem higher and stable with different levels of vddq
