    Has anyone tried using an E8435? It looks as it should work but we know how that goes sometimes.

    Well I purchased an E8335 and installed it in my 1722 with the latest 1.10S bios and the laptopwill not post, it just shuts off.

    If you mean did I lock it into the socket, yes I locked it in the socket.
