a while ago I built up this MSI 1722 with a T7300 I think (might have been a 7200) 3 gigs of ram and ran it for a few months with XP which I was told it was compatable with but I had to hunt down correct drivers. It ran ok, but I regularly got the blue screen of death. Then one day I put it to sleep which I had never done before using a button on the machine and I could not get it to post after that. No signs of life whatsoever. Pulled battery, pulled the small battery on mother board nada. Could not get any lights or any response from laptop. I suspected the BIOS was corrupted but thought it would reset itself so I really have no idea. I then bought an MSI 171f put same components in it and windows 7 and it has worked flawlessly and has been a joy to own. I'd like to fix the 1722 at some point as I want the bluetooth, any ideas on where to start? I'm not super tech savvy but can find my way around. I'd be interested in any insight anyone has. . .

>.> Having issues after putting it in sleep mode makes me think ram is the issue, but you say another laptop worked just fine with the same components but your using windows 7, so that could also mean your xp OS could have been corrupted. Have you tried running windows 7 on the 1722?
