I am going to receive my laptop in a about a week, but I like to get ready, maybe do to the excitement. :)

My last dilemma is on Windows 7, i have heard nothing but good from it. So I did a bunch of google search on MSI 1651+Win7, most people have said that everything works but TURBO button does NOT work.

Basically I want to know if this is true, if there is a way to get around it, by maybe installing vista drivers, or upgrading from vista to windows7.

Also has anyone experienced any other problems with Win7.

    Thanks in advance

The only drivers you will need are the Jmicron card reader, Ene Cir drivers which you can download here

You will also want the scm for the gx620 so you have the turbo mode feature, which you can get here

You will also want the latest nvidia driver for windows 7 which you can get here

If you are purchasing the 1651 and not the gx model you will also have to flash your bios to the gx model to use this feature. A guide has already been created on how to do this. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=346530

thanks a lot. I bought it from xoticpc all it says is FORCE 3551 (Built on MSI-1651), so i am guessing not. I really appreciate it, and great review.

also since i see no vista 64bit driver should i stick with 32bit even though i have 4gb of ram

The 32 bit version drivers work for the 64 bit, at least the drivers that come on the cd do.
