Why do you need older version of BIOS? The latest is 1.0v. Here.

The 1.0s allows more tweaking like changing the overclock level and memory timings.

thank you so much for sharing the 1.0s version bios, and yes I actually updated last night to the 1.0v and found that all the options were gone!!!! my notebook came with 1.0L version...so 1.0s is still an upgrade!!! thanks again

You are supposed to make the flash drive bootable before puting the bios files on it. After doing that. Boot from it and type: flash.bat and wait until the laptop tells you that it's safe to restart.

    see my sig

1.0s has lots of options but they fixed some issues in the newer 1.0u and 1.0v versions. but they lack ANY oc options you only have the option for the turbo mode now set at 15% nothing more. the 1.0s you can adjust nearly everything inlcuing ram timing even

1.0s is better, more tweaks in bios as said elsewhere. But, i would like to ask you, how did you make it that on your notebook works 1680x1050, which windows do you have and drivers, if you mind telling me, cause i got the same one and i've tried many drivers, changed bios to 1.0s and nothing happen, still 1280x800 or those which are not apropriette for that monitor.

well..as long as your model is GX620-213CA than your default screen resolution should be 1680x1050....I know there are some other GX620 models that has lower resolution for some reason, such as the one on newegg, GX620-001US has lower resolution

Is this a message you get when going into the bios after the bios flash? if so just select continue and it will go away after you restart.

thank you for the bios nacr05. I'll download it to prevent future problems. The MSI machines are rare breed - after flashing with 1.0z I had CMOS error which came up to be not the one everywhere explained - just got to flash back to 1.0s, to get this CMOS error , then just has to configure the BIOS as it was before the flash with it's all options you've changed - even if password added....
Strange but that save me. So far I dont have freezing keaboard but if I got one will try to reflash the BIOS with 1.0z and to configure the BIOS as I've done before. Nothing as CMOS (EC) reset works - to remove everything and leave it for a while and blah blah blah... For that kind of error just need to retune the BIOS.
