I'm close to ordering an MSI 1651 ID2 barebones

Here are the parts so far, can you guys let me know if you see any conflicts or problems, I think everything should be fine, but those WLAN cards from China are a bit questionable ;) :

    CPU: T5800 (SLGJ4 2/2M/800)

    RAM: 2GB DDR2 PC2 5300 667MHZ

WLAN: NEW Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN Wireless Mini WLAN Card A or, NEW Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN Wireless WLAN Mini Card L (cards from China, let me know what you think, are they genuine? )

    SAMSUNG LTN154P4-L01 LCD SCREEN 15.4" WSXGA+ MATTE

    HDD: Used Hitachi 200GB HDD 2.5” 7200RPM - $27

It supports 200 pin DDR2 667 or 800MHz memory, you can use a optical drive with out the bezel but it wont look right. They usually come with the drive and bezel depends on where your getting the 1651 at.. I would recommend using the optical drive it is supposed to come with..

Get it! You won't be disappointed. I ordered mine from iBUYPOWER and it was a beau. However, I immediately upgraded the memory to a Corsair 4GB (max for WinXP) and the hard drive to a Seagate 320GB as I do not like the brands they have in stock. I also added an AVerMedia A312 hybrid TV-tuner as an accessory.

As for your configuration since this is a gaming notebook, I suggest to get a low latency gaming memory and a much bigger hard drive. You won't disappoint.

For WLAN, just be careful of knock offs.
