MSI 1039 not expected in early March. April's questionable. Not sure about May.

Sorry. Couldn't help myself. I've held off for days. But after seeing the MSI-1039 Expected in Early March thread go over 300 some odd posts I couldn't resist. Especially since we're deep into April now. :D

You guys need to be more understanding like the Asus W3J customers that are experiencing the same delays. :D

    Kooni,

As the title of my post which you referenced states, MSI MS-1039 Expected....

We were told that the system would arrive in March...then April. Once bitten, twice shy which is why I chose not to take pre-orders when we got the second ETA from MSI.

Hi Unleaded! I think I need to give you your leg back since it seems it's been pulled.... :D
This thread was all in good nature just to poke some fun at the delay and the length of the " Expected" thread. If you read my original post you'll see that my mischievious nature got the better of me ;)

FYI: I'd been very interested in getting the 1039 as it fit almost all of my wants and needs. If it had come out during the original expected ship date I'd have bought one then and there.
But during the delay in shipping Apple came out with Boot Camp and Parallel came out with their Beta VM causing me to re-think. Now I'm currently leaning towards the MacBook Pro. The MSI-1039 still looks like it will be a very nice machine when it does arrive.

I was interested in the Macbook too, but after doing some reading in the Apple forum, the x1600 in it is SEVERELY underclocked. Like it only gets about 3000 3dmark05s.

I can't recall where I saw it, but a few folks tweaked the clock speed on the MacBook and had gotten a bit of a better 3dmark05. If I find the link I'll post it here....

Sure please do. Though, I'm assuming overclocking it wouldn't be that great because it's already heating up a lot, which may be why they underclocked it in the first place?
