So I decided to upgrade my Asus M6ne with an MSI 1035, but have a question. First off, for all future viewers, this system and most other MSI notebooks use normal DDR, not DDR2. (I have read a lot of other people questioning which these notebooks use)

So I thought I was going to be able to dump my old M735 1.7ghz 400fsb CPU in this notebook, but for some reason the notebook wont fire up. I don't believe that the notebook is DOA. Does anyone know if the 400fsb cpus will work with the 915 chipset? .. or with this specific notebook? The website says it should, but the website information hasn't been right yet.

MSI notebooks have a peculiar feature that does not allow them to automatically switch between 400 and 533 fsb. There should be a few small dip switches on the motherboard that would allow you to physically change their fsb. You would need to look around to find exactly what the positions are supposed to be for 400 fsb. The Asus Z71V also has dip switches similar to this.

The positions are listed on MSI's MS-1035 page. I can't give a link because the site isn't working for me now.
