    Hello

I have a MSI 1029 with 512 stick of ram. I was wondering what type of memory is most compatable and if it will take a 1 GB stick of ram with a 512 stick already in it.

    thanx

About your driver problem on the "other" forum scoot... use Omega 2.6.61 (Cat 5.8).. Sorry about the hijack. I've heard 2x 512 works at DDR 400, but 2x 1gb still doesn't.

not sure but i think it's only 2 1 gigs at ddr400 that have the problem. i don't have another 1 gig to test with.

You should update the BIOS to the latest version if you will be using any combination of DDR400 sticks. The current version is 2.50 and it is downloadable from MSI's web site.
