    I'd say for the same reason any BIOS is updated.. To fix bugs and add more features or hardware compatibility. :)

    I'll just wait untli someone finds out what this does to upgrade. So far I've only read that the splash screen "megabook" is gone.

    Tis came with a 2.83 version I previewed late May when I asked about heat resolution, and some a vcore issue on my MT34.

    Fan also set to run at low speed from boot - did wonders for the heat issue, nothing for the Quiet bit though. It was MSI/AMD "Cool or Quiet" !

    It's not really gone, it can simply be reenabled in BIOS "Quiet boot mode = on"
