Just got my new 1029, and it's great, except for one minor detail. It hangs up whenever at the login screen when it's running on battery. This isn't very usefull, as I want to take it with me and use on the go.

    Any ideas?

What video driver are you using? If it is ATI Catalyst that could be the problem. Uninstall driver AND tray tools (as a matter of fact, anything with "ATI" on it) and roll back to factory CD drivers or Omega.

I figured it out, it was indeed a driver issue. I was already using omega drivers, but for some reason my machine would pitch a fit if the powersaving features of the video card were enabled.

    Wierd.

Yeah, this is a known issue. The stock drivers wrok fine, or the Cat 5.8 (or omega equiv.) work great.
