Hi, I got a barebones MSI 1012 (Pink Version) today, and I noticed that mine is nearly completly made of metal.

I've read multiple reviews here where people say their are made out of all plastic. However, since i opened my pink version completly to assemble I am sure that nearly the whole frame on mine is metal.

So I was basically wondering if others notice theirs are made of metal as well? I bough the pink BB one for resale, but after discovering that it is built on a high quality metal frame, I wanted to get one to use (i'm a guy, so i can't really use the pink one ;) ).

Why can't you use the pink one? Hell, get some paint out and make a nice design on it, using pink as the base color ;) I've got a teal laptop... it can work.

We have only seen them in plastic (black), where did you get the pink bb from?

On the MSI 12" notebooks the bottom shell of the notebooks are made from white metal, this is the same up to the most current model the 1058. The rest of the notebook is plastic material, keyboard frame, LCD shell, etc.

The back of LCD is also metal, only front part of LCD is plastic.

Pink MSI 1012 was from geeks.com , now out of stock though. They were $330 before tax.
