Recently, the fan has not been speeding up when playing games, taxing the GPU, etc. I used CPU-Z to monitor the temps, and it was hitting 88 C before locking up (I just left it running Far Cry 2). This is with firmware EC 4.29. I tried reverting back to EC 4.25, and the fan is now the opposite, really loud, and I can't get the same performance (though max temps are at 70 C). Almost seems like its being throttled with 4.25. I've tried flashing the VGA BIOS back to original, and the results are the same.

I just want to get back to where I was: 80 C max temp, great performance, no lockups. Does anyone have EC 4.26 or better yet: do you know what this is happening with EC 4.29 and how I can get the fan to trigger at the correct temps?

    Setup: WinXP SP2, P8400 CPU, 181.22 forceware (Dox's modded)

Update: It seems that I got the fan working, but max temps are around 68 C with the GPU overclocked to 600/1450/900. Used to push 80-82 at the same settings. Performance seems decreased, while fan is louder. Not sure what to do.

Finally fixed the issue! Had to flash the EC 4.22 firmware and use the 182.06 nvidia driver (modded inf). Fan is working and I'm back to gaming.
