Don't really see why it wouldn't, unless MSI intentionally did something to disable quad support on the chipset -
He means the 1722 GX720 model.. It will work in the 1722 not the 1651.

no they both use a 478 socket and yes they will work in the 17" 720 model but not the 15" 620 one

What about flashing a different model bios, or will that render the Lappy dead?
