    Hi,

After I replaced the adapter for my MS-1029, which randomly stopped working, the power cord was a little loose. After that, it started to have trouble connecting - I would have to apply some downward pressure on the plug in order for it to get power. And now, finally, it doesn't work at all. I figure we just need to re-solder the connection on the power supply, but the problem is we can't get to it at all. I can't figure out how to take apart the computer to get to that part, so if that's possible, I'd really appreciate any advice on how to do it. Thanks!

Unfortunately, I got it from XMeld which is now defunct. I got it about 2.5 years ago, not sure if I can still send it back to MSI but I think not (though correct me if I'm wrong).

Well, it wouldn't hurt to contact MSI and see if they can help you. At least with a disassembly diagram.

You may be correct that all you need to do is solder the power connector, and it should be easy to do.
