Is $300 for an MS-1016 barebones refurb a decent deal?

I already have a cpu, memory, and hdd for it.

Wel, what kinds of tasks(gaming, surfing the web, etc) will you be doing with the laptop?

Basically you are spending 300$ for IMHO a outdated laptop with Pent M(I assume you will use a PM for the CPU) and 2GB max of ram(should be enough in XP-I wouldnt install Vista since your GPU is not Aero capable) but it should work for basic task(I do it everyday)...

If you can, I would try to get something newer(even if it means spending more)

Also fill out the FAQ so that we can help you better
