OK, I have problems and I'm very confused about my BIOS
    1. When I hit 'del' on boot-up to load into BIOS, my laptop frezes.
    2. I thought updating BIOS would fix it up, but I'm not sure about my chipset. Meaning:
    a. On the back of my 1013 its says RS482
    b. Yet CPU-Z says I'm running RS480 chipset
    c. Yet CPU-Z also states that BIOS is version 6.70, which is used on RS482
    d. I'm running Windows x64 with 2gb 400 RAM and I've gotten the "white screen of death" many times.
    3. How come CPU-Z states that my RAM is PC3200, but says that max speed is 200MHz?

Also I must be very tired from all these problems becasue I can't find drivers for 'Other PCI Bridge Device' and 'SM Bus Controller' as Device Manager calles them.

Please point me in a right direction. Thanks.

PS: Whatever you do, DO NOT buy form www.eWiz.com. Trust me, go some place else even it it means extra money, it'll save you time, money and frustration.

Download the XP64 driver pack from MSI's website which will install the drivers for the PCI bridge and SM Bus. You probably have the RS482 chipset. Mine doesn't even state RS482 under my laptop but MSI installed the 6.10 bios. Running your memory at 166Mhz instead of 200Mhz might solve your WSOD problem.

I did get X64 drivers from MSI website, I still couldn't get those things to work. And I can't change my RAM speed to anything because I can't get into BIOS, my system hangs if I try to go into BIOS. Also after my last WSOD, my windows doesn't boot. It just hangs there. I tried safe mode and it also hangs at ACPITABL.DAT  As well as that, I can only boot into KNOPPIX from CD using the 'failsafe' mode, w/o any hardware detection. WTF

I got my Windows to boot, the problem seemed to be in the WiFi card. I took it out and Windows booted just fine. I put it back in and Windows still boots. Yet my WiFi works like a piece of crap now. Anyways, I understand that "SM Bus controller" in my device manager was the Chipset South Bridge, the drivers are found at www.ATI.com. I cannot get the other thing to work "Other PCI Bridge device" is still a mystery and I did try the O2Micro drivers. And I still can't acces my BIOS, any clues why?

i've tried both bios as I was in doubt which chipset I had installed as well. Knowing that this could cause some serious damage, I still tried it out. Both bios versions worked fine for me.
I thought that maybe either of them would solve my:
    - Crappy wifi card, which works but signal is always really bad
    - Fan always on sometimes?
    - Sudden turn on when in standby mode, while flickering the screen in different colors (now this one is really spooky when in the middle of the night!!)

Neither of the above mentioned problems are solved, I am now running with bios version 6.70 and chipset is shown as RS480 in hardware monitor programs.

The computer was preinstalled with a Bios for RS482.
I still need to solve the above problems...
