I am considering this laptop (possibly) and am looking for web based pictures. Does anyone know where any are? I have seen only one really, the one from MSI site from the front (small) Why is it that there always seems to be very few pictures of the MSI brand? I have been looking for a good Turion x2 notebook with a great video card and a SATA hdd. Asus has one, but it's got PATA (yuck). It seems like these notebooks are very slow coming. After all, the Turion x2 beat the c2d to market by several months.

I am also curious about the build quality, some reviews that I have seen often describe the MSI laptops as "cheap". I want something that is a good quality build. Preferably with carbon fiber if its possible.

Another question I have is, if you purchase the barebones kit, does it come with the cooler for the CPU? (heatsink-fan) I am wondering because that seems to be a part that may be specific to the latop (so it would fit into the case).

Unfortunately MSI doesnt usually provide allot of pictures on their machines. I have asked them for a while to document more images of these machines on their website. I will try to dig up some and PM you a link.

I personally think MSI builds a good laptop. I havent seen any issues with their build quality. If you decide to purchase a barebones of the unit you will get all accessories such a CPU Heatsink, HD mounting brackets along with software drivers etc. FYI, MSI has a video they created on their testing procedures, here is a link to it.

I haven't had any issues with it at all. Its a great notebook in terms of bang for your buck. It performs extremely well, and benchmarks looks great. I've been extremely busy with alot of things lately but, im finishing up a review on this notebook. Should be up within the end of next week maybe a few days later. you can PM me if you have any more in depth questions about the notebook if you'd like.

Well, here's the thing. I think this is really a great looking notebook and I really like AMD products. However, I think that it leaves a little too much on the table when it comes to competing with the Intel C2D. I know it's not a fair comapirison, but right now they are the best that each company has to offer. I can get a Intel C2D for the same cost as this system. Personally I would rather have the AMD, just because I hate Intel's buisness practices. But, you can't deny that the Intel offering is a much better option at this point in time. I think that AMD was about 6-8 months too late with these. These laptops should have been competing with the core duo line and they probably would have cleaned up. But right now, there's better out there for the same cost. Just MHO
