I have been using my MS-1029 alot, the machine is truely powerful. But as of late the power, paticulary the charging, seems to not work right and I think it is the power cord. First of all, its a little loose in the port, if anyone knows a way to fix that much appreciated ^^, but I think the problem is the connector on the power cord itself, the metal on the inside seems as if it has eroded and has flaked a bit.

I built the laptop myself, but I don't know were to get a power supply that has THAT type of connection and that specific voltage. I would great appreciate any help.

Swap out your AC adapter ASAP...I fried one battery using a bad AC adapter.

you can buy another AC cord from MSI
    here

I sure hope you didnt damage your battery...
