I'm so pissed right now. I was trying to get my ps4 controller to connect to my GE72 2QD and I made the mistake of installing the SCP driver which is supposed to do just that ... it didn't work and when I uninstalled it crippled/erased my bluetooth capability---same thing described in this thread here, I think:
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?39623-Bluetookth-Dont-work-after-Install-SCP-driver!
I tried enabling hidden devices in device manager and uninstalled everything bluetooth hoping that windows would find the missing device drivers ... nothing. I tried downloading and reinstalling the intel bluetooth driver from MSI ... nothing. Made no difference. I tried starting all bluetooth related services to automatic. Nothing. It's like all trace of bluetooth has vanished from my laptop.
Please help me get it back.
EDIT: Intel Wireless Bluetooth is showing up under "Other Devices" (Other than what?) but the only option is to remove it. Still not showing up under device manager.
EDIT: Got it back. Had to go through and root out everything left behind by SCP that its uninstaller didn't actually touch.
