Has any one out there tried a Linux Distro. on a MSI laptop. I am wondering what it took to find drivers? How did it go? Knightmare or silk?

    Thanks.

it depends on the system and the distro. you can find quite a bit on the S270/1013 with different linux packages, and some have been trying the 1029 and 1036 with mixed results. I would suggest googling for the appropriate forums, as they are full of info, especially some of the Euro forums that have had the 1013 longer than the US market.

I have Simply Mepis 3.4 (Debian bulid) on my Ms-1003 and it runs perfect, wireless and everything was auto detected. :D

I entered the live CD on my Moms Ms-1029 and seems to be fine with it.
the only problem I found with it was the bulit in Bluetooth had some issues.

I was surprised how well they worked considering most ATI video cards choke on Linux.
