The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Hmmmm...... I think this thread is bit off-topic, and better suited here:

    Microsoft Windows Forum

Sure, MSI will have many models with Windows 8, but so will most any brand. Why have a general discussion of the OS in a specific 'Notebook Manufacturers' forum?

EDIT: Wow, this is weird...... I didn't start this thread, now suddenly my reply has the #1 slot, and the system indicates I did, LOL!

Yeah, a Mod has moved your original thread post HERE, yet apparently he didn't delete this thread from the MSI forum. Since you wanted to discuss Windows 8, I was curious if you had seen the on-going discussion in this thread:

    WIndows 8: The Thread - On-going since 1 June 2011 ;)

Terrible interface! What were they thinking? Yeah for tablets but for computers? MS should have at least given users the ability to switch it over to that type of environment and not those horrid tiles (aka Metro).
