Hey guys. Yesterday I was using my laptop all day, it was charging fine. I went to bed last night and my laptop was not plugged in so it was not charging and ran out of juice this morning. I plugged it into the charger and nothing is happening. I had about 5 minutes left on the charge when I plugged it in and nothing was happening. It died a little bit later and now when its plugged in I cant turn my laptop on. Anyone know what I can do? BTW, my laptop is the MSI GT6XXX (I cant remember the last numbers) its black with red edges.

When you plug in the cord into the laptop does it feel lose like its not tight.
If so there could be a chance that you wore out the DC Jack and needs to replaced. -
It does feel a bit loose. How much is a new one? Its kind of BS that it would wear out after only like 4 months of use...

I have another machine on the way for parts, I'll report back my results when/if I can get it fixed.
Oh yeah, here's the place that has those jacks:

No offense, but I only seem to see bad DC jack on laptop that are not taken care off properly.
I usually see about 3-5 laptops per month with bad DC jacks. -
well I dont see how you can possibly not take care of a AC jack, you plug it in, and pull it out...
How hard is it to install a new jack? someone told me that you have to solder it on? ? Is that something that a computer repair place would do? Or should I try send in my laptop and have MSI fix it, but that might take a while and at college I dont have a while. -
