My fan does have some noise to it, but not only that sometimes it can be very loud. It sounds almost like the fan is in super fast mode or in shock. The problem is that whenever it is doing this my laptop freezes. The only way to temporarily get rid of the problem is by hitting the bottom of the laptop until it quits. I am on my last thread with this laptop and I just bought it back in July

Have you got any temps? GPU? Could be overheating.

EDIT: Or your bearings could be shot.

As far as i know, the fans hit super loud at 90C northbridge load :p

    GET HWMONITOR SIR,

lets pin this problem down, or lambo could also be correct, the fan could be semi dead =(

sorry, I have been extremely busy, but I plan on sending it in sometime this week. I have been reading reviews on my laptop in the last week or so as to the problem to my laptop and it does seem that I am not the only one having this problem (not that it is a relief or anything). I love my laptop and its going to be hard to part with it for a couple of weeks. If it doesn't solve the problem I may end of selling it and getting something else. ;(. I would get MSI again but they really don't have anything comparable to my current laptop under $1K.

It must be the layers...you know onions have layers, ogres have layers...

    ;)

Good to know your sending it in, but yeah its definately going to be overheat, could be a bad thermal paste job, a possible loose heatsink, a bad fan, any of those!

Hope it comes back to you at best speed.

Yes to diagnose something like this you really have to be there with the laptop.

    Hope everything goes well though!

I didn't quite understand your question, but it is sounding very quite. From now on I will consider an MSI products first.
