Hi guys, i own a GT73VR TITAN 6RE recently, but i have an annoying problem with the wifi and lan connections, right now im using win 10 pro i dont know if this card have problems with this OS, but anyways, mostly i use wifi, but all the time, my connections drops and stop working, at the beginning i though was my internet provider, so i call them like million times, but during those days i star to make my test with different laptops, and walaaaa, it's my new MSI, i tested on the other machines and they were perfect, i just uninstalled, reinstalled and nothing happens, i even uncheck Killer management on the internet config, but still the same problem, any suggestion? any good driver? i really hate this.

    Plz help.

    Here's the latest version available.
    [ Driver page]

If the driver suite still gives you the same issue, then try the driver-only version.

same problem, even worst with the driver alone, can be win 10 incompatibility, or a card problem?

the worst thing is, works better without drivers xD

I believe the problem might be your router. I have the same machine and I have had 0 wifi drops, and actually downloads at my full ISP speed (200mbits) all the time. I don't have double shoot enabled, just the stock config with filter.

I do have a high end router though, because the routers that are usually provided by the ISPs are very low end/bad quality.

Hey, I have a GT73VR 7RE. I was having the same issue. I tried everything and nothing worked. I found the solution though, just uninstall the Killer Doubleshot Pro suite and the problem should be fixed!

This is a known issue with the bigfoot/Killer wireless card. Try the drivers below that I was sent from Qualcomm a few months ago that supposedly fixes this issue.

    www.killernetworking.com/support/Killer-Wireless-AC_INF_12.0.0.230.zip

Installing an INF file if you haven't did this before.

Could also check to make sure the antennas are properly connected to the wireless card inside the system.

Is your phone and PC both connected to the same SSID? How's your 2.4GHz & 5GHz configuration look like?

Have you updated to the Windows 10 Creators Update? If you have its a known issue and i have notified Rivet Networks about this issue has i have it with my GT72-6QD. For now simply disable Auto Stream Detect or Double Shot. It will work fine after that till they update the package to overcome the issue has to do with the Rivet Filter Driver.

Most of time it's the software suite, but the driver itself usually works just fine, and sometimes, it can be the router firmware itself.

To add to @Kevin@GenTechPC 's post, don't dismiss the router firmware even if your computer is the only one having the problem. Older devices won't need newer firmware, and it doesn't matter if mobile devices like tablets or phones will connect because those little cards will connect to anything with power and an antenna.

It's good to see Qualcomm has been pretty aggressive into fixing issues on their drivers.

The filter driver is from rivet networks which is used to tie in the priority system from the software and is totally different to Qualcomm's drivers. But you are right Qualcomm can be quick with fixes.

There is a valid reason I know this but can't go into detail as I am sure you'll understand.

No internal info was given, however i am more then likely still classed as under an NDA. However if you head into the following directory (Technically not breaking NDA here)

    Code:
     C:\Program Files\Killer Networking\Killer Control Center\Production\Windows10-x64\RfeCoSvc
Then look at the inf files Rivet will always have "Copyright (c) Rivet Networks, LLC." whilst if you look in

    Code:
     C:\Program Files\Killer Networking\Killer Control Center\Production\Windows10-x64\11AC
and look in the inf file you will get "Copyright (c) 2011-2014 Qualcomm Atheros, Inc", like all files Qualcomm makes.

There is another reason why i know but saying anything about that will break the NDA which i will not break.

Gotcha, it is like a joint partnership from both companies to create this software package utilizing different technologies/solutions.

Think of rivets driver just like the radio driver on MSI laptops, its merely a dummy driver that allows for the software to parse instructions like a switch. However its a pain or at least was a pain with bigfoot networks (before it became rivet networks) when it came to running Ethernet or wireless in Linux as it didn't work with standard qca drivers. However its still holding out and the issue that was pointed out in this thread should of now been resolved with rivets latest drivers.

I've installed the new drivers and although it stops the card losing signal/disconnecting - it still rubbish for Steam downloads - fine in everything else. Oh and no its not steam - full speed on all other devices using steam in my house. With the Wireless 1535 its up and down in speed all the time. Given up with the card basically and just going with ethernet, Killer stuff is dire.

I guess there is a chance that Steam has just been playing up since the day I got my laptop. But right this moment in uplay I'm getting 26.5MB/s. My full network speed same in Origin.

Load up Steam and you get full speed for a few seconds. Then none. Then maybe 1mb. Then maybe 10 now and then. Never consistent no matter what content server you use.

I would suspect another service or program is interfering with Steam, and not the wifi driver or network suite. AV and firewall would be my first guesses, those can cause program specific issues.

Could be steam having issues on the node you have been connected to. Try changing the steam download location to another city or country.

Sometimes Manchester sucks for speed but London is ok but then other days its the other way round.

Yeah tried both today - both seem to suck. I do think its more likely steam now though as both Origin and Uplay going at 27MB/s right now

Give http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest a test run just to make sure.

Select the type of connection and it will run a test. Keep an eye on bufferbloat though as that will slow any connection down if its way high. Also make sure nothing else is taking network time as well such as Windows One Drive etc.

Luck has nothing to do with this. Contractual obligation does. They have to provide a system that works consistently and properly, so it's their job to push Killer to release a fix.

Did you try Killer driver only without the software suite ?

Same issue with steam even with Ethernet. So I'm assuming it's either a steam issue or my virgin 200mb broadband. I'm due maintenance in the area next month so will report after that

What I need you to do is the following.

Step 1: Right click the Start icon at the bottom left of the desktop.
    Step 2: Find Device Manager
    Step 3: Find Network Adapter
Step 4: Find the Killer Adapter, either ethernet or wireless.
Step 5: Click on it once or twice and a dialogue box should pop up.
Step 6: Find power management, then uncheck everything under it.
Step 7: Run Steam and see if the download speed is faster.

Just want to make sure, you removed the software suite first and do a reboot, and then install the driver only after, right?
